Peyman Maadi joins cast of ‘Walnut Tree’

Peyman Maadi joins ‘Midday Adventures’ director’s latest project.

Peyman Maadi is the first actor to be selected for ‘Midday Adventures’ director Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian’s latest project ‘The Walnut Tree’.

Having received its production license last month, the film which is currently in pre-production will be produced by Seyed Mostafa Ahmadi.

Written by Ibrahim Amini, ‘The Walnut Tree’ will be featuring other notable actors in the Iranian film industry whose names will be announced in the upcoming days.

Actor/director Peyman Maadi was the winner of the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival’s Best Male Actor award for his role in Saeed Roustaee’s ‘6.5 per Meter’.

Maadi was also the recipient of the 36th Fajr Film Festival’s Special Jury Award for his drama ‘Bomb: A Love Story’ - a flick written and directed by Maadi in which he starred in.

One of Iran’s most talked about directors, Mahdavian’s award-winning ‘Midday Adventures’ earned Best Picture as well as Best Picture According to the Audience along with nine nominations at the 35th Fajr Film Festival.

The sequel to his highly successful ‘Midday Adventures’ was another award-winning piece, garnering three awards at the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

Producer Seyed Mostafa Ahmadi has many successful projects in his production portfolio including the show ‘The Gathering’.
